I have been oil painting and am always thinking about the financial assessibiliy to art. The "starving artist" role we valuable makers get to partake in has always seemed really cruel especially when you consider who exactly profits from our art.
I found this article informative about the art market and who benefits. TLDR; rich people do. rich people who get to buy your art at its young age & then pass it through collection through auction as a valuable asset they've obained & the original creator of a work of Art doesn't benefit at all.
